The Basic Rules Of Live Dealer Baccarat

Baccarat seems so intimidating because it is played in a special room reserved for high rollers. But the game could not be any less scary if it tried. The game is a game of pure chance. The object of the game is to be able to guess and guess correctly if the player or the banker’s hand will come closest to a total of 9. Each card number 2 thru 9 is set at the face value. The Aces are one point, the Jack, Queens, and Kings are Zero Points and the Tens are Zero as well. The hand who has the highest total will win. The highest total of any hand cannot be higher than 9. You may be thinking that, that is impossible but in the world of gambling anything is possible.

We will explain how, a hand that has a 7 and 2 , that equals 9 so that hand would be great. Now, if you have a 7 and a 8 which equal 15 that is not acceptable, so what happens is that the dealer drops the tenth digit which would be the 1 in this case and the score would be a 5. In baccarat there is a third card rule, this rule comes into play when the player or the banker gets an automatic third card. If the value of the third card is a 8 or a 9 this is called a Natural. If either one is dealt a natural the game will end and there will be no more third cards dealt in that game.

In a sense this is like blackjack, the goal of the game is to get as close to nine as you can. So if the player gets a point value made in combination of 2 cards a 0-5 then they will draw a third card, if the cards equal a 6 or 7 then the player stands, if there is an 8 or 9 then there is no further draw of the cards. Now, if the banker gets a 0-2 then the third card is dealt. If the card point total is a 3 the player will draw a third cards as well as up to 7 when the banker has a 7 he will stand and an 8 or a 9 the player cannot draw at all.

It sounds complicated but it really isn’t. Remember that you want to get a total of 9. You cannot go over 9 no matter what happens but your goal is to get a 9 or a high number with cards like 6 and 3 or 7 and 2. Anything else is going to give you low numbers. If you want to get into a Baccarat game then see if there is a beginners table you can learn from and if not maybe you can play a hand or so and see how you do. Baccarat is a fun game and once you get enough practice you may feel comfortable playing with the big boys.

Basic Rules Of Live Dealer Blackjack

The rules of Black Jack are not as hard as you may think. The object of the game is to beat the house. The ultimate goal is to get 21 from the cards that are dealt to you but that does not happen all that often , depending on how many players there are at the table. You want to score more points than the dealer. When you sit at low minimum table ( which is recommended for beginners ) you could be playing one on one with the dealer or there may be other players at the table. Your only focus at this point should be the dealer. Each player players for themselves, they are all playing against the dealer.

In order to play correctly, there will be a box or a circle on the table that will say bets, place your chip bets in the designated spot. If you did not get change at the cage the dealer will be more than happy to provide you with coins. The larger money chips go on the bottom of the pile and the smaller chips go on top. The value of the cards in Black Jack are as follows, the face cards 2 through10 are face value, the Jack, Queen and King are worth ten points and the Ace is worth 1 point or 11 points. You are looking to get a 21 without going over.

This could be given in any combination of cards. The dealer will deal you one card up and one card down. Keep the card down so the other players cannot see them. Then add the two cards together and see what the equal to , what you have in your hand will determine whether or not you are going to ask for another card. Remember the trick is to not go over 21. If you have an Ace and a 7 you could use this hand two ways, you could use it is an 8 and ask for more cards or you can use these cards as an 18 and hold. You want to hold on a 17 and higher because the chances of getting 4 or lower are not in your favor. Anything lower than a 16 you can ask for another card and hope for the best.

Sometimes dealers will use more than one deck so you can never be too sure what they are going to pull out. Black Jack is a game of strategy because you have to decide if you are going to ask for more cards than you have or are you going to stay at what you have. You cannot win every hand but to win a few is great achievement. You will also want to practice at home , simply get a deck of cards and practice playing alone or have a friend be the dealer. It will help you prepare for the casino.

No room for online poker in the land of the free

The online poker industry in the United States of America, land of the free, was dealt a double tag team power slam after congress put a ban on all banks and credit card companies accepting transactions from online poker sites, when it passed the internet gambling enforcement act of 2006.

This may not come as breaking news but you must ask yourself, why has the US government turned its back on online poker when poker in casinos produces an immense amount of money for the state. If congress truly believed their rhetoric about gambling then why wouldn’t they cut out the state operations as well as online ones?

Money could be why, the US economy has never been as bad as it has in recent years and online poker and gambling sites in general rake in vast amounts of revenue from the US citizens online casinos for real money - but a lot of these sites are hosted in different countries. When the gambling sites are hosted overseas it means money gets transferred away from the United States. State operations like the lotto and casinos generate money that stays in the US economy, much of which benefits the government directly through taxes.

Online poker activists are now trying to build a petition against what they call the “Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006” but unless the United States economy stabilises itself I doubt there will be any room for online poker in the land of the free.
